Russell Cocks provides a consultancy service to legal practitioners on an annual retainer basis in all aspects of property law and conveyancing. He also writes books and articles on these topics.
In addition, Russell conducts seminars that are open to lawyers and conveyancers. These start at a BASIC level, progress through to an INTENSIVE LEVEL and extend to a SPECIALIST level. BASIC and INTENSIVE courses are usually conducted every 3 months and SPECIALIST seminars every 6 months. Russell also conducts seminars in REGIONAL areas from time to time.
A second area of interest is Legal Ethics and Russell conducts ETHICS seminars designed to fulfill the CPD requirements of practitioners. These can be conducted in-house.
After 13 years of private practice as a solicitor, Russell joined the Law Insitute of Victoria as a Research Solicitor for 4 years before establishing the SOLICITORS INFORMATION SERVICE in 1993. He lectured at Deakin University in Property for 10 years and Legal Ethics for 7 years.
